How Easy Grab works & installs

Simply reach for the Easy Grab handle and pull forward and down to engage the buckle. Here is exactly what is in the pack, how it fits and how to look after it.

Easy Grab components — handle, leather strap and fixing screw — and the handle installed on a seat belt

What is in the pack

  • 2 × contoured Easy Grab handles
  • 2 × genuine leather mounting straps
  • 2 × stainless fixing screws
  • Illustrated fitting instructions

Installation in 60 seconds

  1. 1

    Find the fitting point

With the seat belt unbuckled, locate a point on the webbing roughly 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) above the metal buckle tongue. This is where your hand naturally reaches when seated.

  2. 2

    Wrap the leather strap

Fold the leather strap around the webbing so the two holes line up on the outboard side of the belt. The strap grips the webbing without piercing or damaging it.

  3. 3

    Slide on the handle

Slot the Easy Grab handle over the strap so the handle points forward, toward the front of the vehicle. Align the screw hole in the handle with the strap holes.

  4. 4

    Tighten the single screw

Insert the supplied screw and tighten firmly with a Phillips screwdriver. Give the handle a solid tug to confirm it does not slide. Repeat for the passenger belt.

  5. 5

    Buckle up and adjust

Sit in your normal driving position and buckle up. If the handle sits too high or too low for a comfortable grab, loosen the screw, slide it a few centimetres and retighten.

Vehicles it fits

Easy Grab is universal. If your vehicle has a standard 3-point lap-sash seat belt, it fits: hatchbacks, sedans, wagons, SUVs, 4WDs, utes and pickup trucks, vans, minibuses, trucks, motorhomes, campervans and caravans. It works on driver, front passenger and rear outboard seat belts, and on both left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive vehicles.

Safety notes

  • • Easy Grab attaches to the belt webbing only. It never sits between the buckle tongue and the buckle and does not lengthen or loosen the belt.
  • • Always wear the sash across the chest and the lap belt low across the hips, as the vehicle manufacturer intended.
  • • Do not fit Easy Grab over a belt that is frayed, twisted or damaged — have the belt serviced first.
  • • Check the screw is tight every few months, and after moving the handle to another vehicle.
  • • Not intended for child restraint harnesses or booster seat belt guides.

Care & durability

The handle is a tough moulded polymer that resists UV, heat and cold, so it will not go brittle in a hot car or a frozen driveway. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid solvents and harsh interior cleaners on the leather strap.
